Welcome to the Friends Chronicle

It's been an exciting three years for us at Friends of the Children - Colorado Springs. Since our inception in 2021, we have gathered together an amazing board and outstanding staff who are all dedicated to helping children in our community.

We're excited to begin offering this quarterly newsletter to keep our community partners, donors and supporters informed about what is happening and what drives us. We'll be sharing stories about our children and staff, our community engagement, and ways you can be involved in our ongoing success.

Mentorship Matters

Welcome to the (New) Family!

This is Jill. She was adopted into her forever family this summer and now has 3 sisters to share life with. Her Friend (Professional Mentor) Sarah, was honored to be invited to all the celebrations.

Sarah tells us "What an incredible joy it was to witness!"

Taking Off the Training Wheels

Marcus was very excited but a little hesitant about learning to ride a bike without training wheels. He was determined to succeed and, with some assistance and techniques on balance, he was able to achieve his goal. He mentioned the key to success was never giving up and the belief that he could accomplish the task at hand. It was a great day for him and for his Friend, Kevin, and he wanted to show off for his brother and mother.
