The KIPP Team & Family have spent this summer hard at work, reimagining our work at KIPP Baltimore in light of the COVID-19 virus, and all the challenges that the pandemic entails. Our community has shared their experiences and perspectives in surveys, as members of working groups, and during virtual listening sessions. Under the leadership of our school principals and regional staff, we believe we have developed plans for a student-centered virtual learning program that heeds the unique strengths of our KIPPsters while proactively providing for the needs of our community.
We are proud to share our virtual reopening plans with you, as well as the process we used to reimagine learning at KIPP Baltimore. Please join Executive Director Marsha Reeves, KIPP Harmony Principal Natalia Adamson, KIPP Ujima Village Principal Alex Reese, and KIPP Baltimore Board Member Amy Kiesel as they open the virtual doors to our schools on Wednesday, September 16. During our first Lunch & Learn of the year, our leaders will answer your questions about our shared promise to meet KIPP Baltimore's school mission head on, whether in a virtual, hybrid, or in-person learning space:
Together with families and communities, we create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose—college, career, and beyond— so they can lead fulfilling lives and create a more just world.
