Forever Grateful: An Owner’s Story
Susan Walker, a devoted dog rescue volunteer, is forever grateful to the UC Veterinary Medical Center, San Diego for saving the life of her beloved English setter Ella not once, but twice. Learn how the center’s services and expert veterinary care made a difference, and how Walker, in turn, made a gift to the medical center to pay it forward for other companion animals like Ella. It all started on April 14 last year, when Walker went to a friend’s house and was gone for only an hour and a half. Upon returning, she was shocked to find that Ella had ingested a bottle of ibuprofen and began having kidney failure.
