Conference Proposal Writing Workshop (virtual) on 1/8/25

Looking for a space to fine-tune your 2025 National Conference proposal or workshop an idea with fellow dance educators? There will be a few specific writing prompts for the group to consider, and plenty of time to share and receive feedback.

OPDI Spring 2025 Online Courses

OPDI courses for dance teachers are open for registration. The first courses start on 1/13/25 with others following on1/27/25 and 2/10/25. Some courses are almost sold out so secure your spot today. 9 total courses being offered and 4 of those 9 are brand new to NDEO and OPDI.

National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA)

NHSDA Award Application Deadline is 1/30/25

Dance students who have been inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) Secondary Program and are current juniors and seniors in High School are eligible for the NHSDA Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award and Scholarship.

Join the NHSDA Award Adjudicator Team

NDEO seeks dance educators who can adjudicate the award applicants - must be an NDEO Member who does not have a student applying for the award. Limited spots available. Deadline to apply is 1/31/25.

Start a Chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts at your School

Establishing an NHSDA chapter in your school is one very important way that you can help advance the field of dance education. Celebrating your exceptional dance students helps to create honor and prestige within our field and improve our image to those outside the field.
