District 113 Families, Students and Staff,
Township High School District 113 will be streamlining multiple digital communications platforms into ParentSquare and StudentSquare, beginning with the transition of our emergency notifications system in January. As we prepare for this move, all parents/guardians and staff members will need to activate their account in ParentSquare and students will need to activate their account in StudentSquare and all need to verify their contact information in their account.
Families, students and staff will receive an account activation email from District 113’s ParentSquare on Monday, December 2, example below. For students, parents and guardians, the contact information that has been pre-loaded by District 113 comes directly from Infinite Campus. If parents/guardians need to update their or student cell contact information, parents/guardians will need to do that in the IC Parent Portal. For staff, staff contact information has been pre-loaded from Skyward. Once your account is activated, you can update your notification delivery and language preferences.
A test of the emergency mass notifications function will run on Tuesday, December 10 at 4 p.m., with the plan to fully launch ParentSquare for emergency mass notifications January 6, 2025. District 113 will continue to roll out more functionality over the course of second semester.
There are many benefits to using the ParentSquare platform as a messaging tool within our District, a few of those benefits include:
- Fewer platforms for both senders and recipients to manage
- The ability for each recipient to select to receive communication in their preferred language with over 100 languages
- The option for recipients to choose how often they want to receive messages - a digest of all the day’s messages at one time around 6 p.m. or as the messages are sent. (Please note that this option does not apply to emergency messages)
