The District of Columbia School of Law Foundation has announced the establishment of the Simi Cares Scholarship and #SimiCares Annual Day of Service in honor of alumni Simi Abrol '16.

Stan Myers '03: First African American Military Judge in SC History
Stanley Myers '03, managing partner and attorney at Moore Bradley Myers (MBM), completed the 64th Military Judge Course becoming the third Military Judge for the South Carolina Army National Guard and the first African-American to hold this position in South Carolina. He is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the National Guard.

LaRuby May '06 and Coy McKinney '12 are at the forefront of the battle for affordable housing in DC.

Notorious Lawyer – and Educator – of the January 6th Insurrection Defendants
Heather Shaner '78 (center seat in blue in photo at right) through her representation – and education of – some of the January 6th insurrection defendants - has made Washingtonian Magazine’s “Five People We’d Love to Hang Out With” list for September, The Washington Post, NPR and the Huffington Post.

Four UDC Law Alumni Elected/Honored by Washington Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Division
Jennifer Blemur '12, Amelia French '14, Robert Baldwin, III '15 and Natasha Hudgins '14 were recognized by the Washington Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division through elected leadership positions or awards.

The UDC Law to Philly DA Pipeline
We’re pleased to report that Nana Osei '21 (left) and TyShawn Key '21, (right) will be starting their legal careers with Larry Krasner and the Philadelphia District Attorney's office - where both interned after their 1L year. 
Remembering Thelma Buchholdt
Thelma Buchholdt was the first Philippine-born female legislator in the U.S. and was elected to serve in the Alaska House of Representatives for four terms from 1975 to 1982.
