Message from the Lafayette Chamber Board of Directors President, Jeremy Steel:
When I first arrived in Lafayette, no one knew me and I didn’t know anyone. I was looking for a place where I could plug in, serve the community with purpose, and build meaningful relationships with like-minded people. That’s when I found the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber was supportive in words and actions. Very quickly, my perspective of what the Chamber could be shifted—it became a place of opportunity. Whenever I had a vision for how I could better serve the community, they were there. If I had an idea for a new group or initiative—such as a Young Professionals Group, a Health Fair, the Health and Wellness Alliance, or a volunteer opportunity—the incredible people at the Chamber not only listened, but helped turn those ideas into reality.
If you have a vision that we may be able to support, I encourage you to reach out. At the very least, we may be able to help guide you in the right direction.
As we wrap up the first quarter of 2026, we are thrilled to report that we:
- Welcomed 31 new members, raising the total membership to 783.
- Thanked 238 members for renewing their membership.
- Celebrated 20 Chamber member anniversaries through social media.
- Hosted 10 Affinity Group meetings, plus one business seminar and one "Coffee."
- Held a very special Ribbon Cutting at All Ages Recreation Den.
- Honored the Business Persons of the Year Erin and Ford Andrews, Sideboard, and Citizen of the Year Carol Singer, see photos below!
And now we are preparing for our annual Signature & Retail events (see graphic below!) Come out, have fun, and build meaningful connections with us.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jeremy Steel, Steel Chiropractic
