Nancy Berkowitz Talks Inventory Management in a Pandemic
COVID-19 has drastically shaken up the beverage alcohol supply chain, forcing brand owners to reevaluate key performance indicators and overall route to market strategies.
"What a lot of our clients are finding is products that used to sell well before may not be now and others are flying off the shelves. So past trends, that were used to project what inventory needs are have changed dramatically," says Nancy Berkowitz, the Industry Vice President for Dimensional Insight.
To deal with the changing times, one of the key strategies Nancy advises for brand owners is to look at an expanded set of information, including economic forecasts, short-term sales data, as well as data from e-commerce vendors.
