Every day something grabs our attention: advertisements, billboards, charity pleas, volunteer opportunities. Sometimes it’s hard to decide which projects are deserving of our time, talent and treasure! Which of these products and programs actually make a difference?

You want to invest your resources in something that matters – and we think Wesley Church fits that description!
Sunday's sermon:
Invest in What Matters: Learning Matters

Children's Sabbath

OUR CONFERENCE OUR KIDS
Thank you for your generosity!
During September, Wesley members gave an additional $6500 for a total donation of $23,311.69.
That’s fantastic! When the campaign first began, churches in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference were encouraged to give a sum equal to one month’s apportionments. Wesley UMC set ourselves a goal of $20,000. So, Congratulations, Church! Once again, you have gone above and beyond! And your generosity truly makes a difference in the lives of the kids in our Conference, at:
The Baby Fold
Chaddock
Cunningham Children's Home
Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House
Spero Family Services (formerly the United Methodists Children's Home)

In Wesley’s elementary Sunday school programming an Orange© philosophy and strategy is central. We Believe That Two Combined Influences Make A Greater Impact Than Just Two Individual Influences.
Faith & Character

The ParentCue.org is an amazing resource that also uses the Orange philosophy for teaching our children! Weekly activities and devotionals are offered to guide kids to trust Jesus. All of this is aimed at being done in a way that changes how they see God, themselves, and the rest of the world.

Our awesome SURGE youth ministry is feeding junior and senior high students in body AND soul this year! Youth activities meet at Wesley throughout the Sunday afternoon time into the evening, and we love to encourage participation by serving a weekly meal. If you are able to donate towards Sunday SURGE suppers, we are seeking to feed 30 youth and adults. For more information, please contact Kelsey Ross at your earliest convenience.

As much as we’d like it to be otherwise, COVID-19 is still a danger to our congregations and communities. As disciples of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, Christians are called to model the highest standards of care for others, especially those who are at higher risk of becoming sick. Vaccination against COVID-19 remains the best practice that individuals can do to keep themselves, their family, their church, and their community safe. Although vaccinations are not 100% effective in stopping every case, they are proven to significantly reduce the chance of a person getting ill, getting seriously ill, or dying from COVID-19. If people have questions about vaccination safety, have them speak directly to their primary health care provider as there is a lot of misinformation spreading among more casual information networks.

Welcoming Our New Wesley UMC Receptionist!

Hello friends! It is a pleasure to be a part of the Wesley family!

I was born and raised in Bloomington, IL and can never see myself leaving. My beautiful family includes, Dalon 17 and Jaila 15, and a fur baby Luna who is 6 months. I graduated from Heartland Community College in 2007 and majored in Business.

I have worked as an Administrative Assistant for over 10 years. When I’m not assisting I love to relax at home with a great book even writing a few books of my own over the years. My passion is helping people from all walks of life and sharing my story of how I have overcame many obstacles.

Hospitals are not currently allowing churches to inquire about their congregants' inpatient status or room number. We will not know if you have been admitted to the hospital unless you give us a call.
