Placemaking is an approach that asks people to collectively reimagine and reshape public space to maximize its shared value. Placemaking can take many forms, including improving the visitor experience through navigational aids.
Funding from the My Main Street Community Activator program is supporting Prescott's Wayfinding Signage project as part of the ongoing RiverWalk Revival.
This new signage initiative helps guide visitors through the Town, improving access to key attractions and business areas. By increasing visibility and enhancing pedestrian flow, the project plays a key role in fostering a vibrant and welcoming environment for locals and visitors alike.
Prescott's My Main Street Community Activator funding supports a number of placemaking activities throughout the Downtown Prescott RiverWalk District, including installations to reshape public engagement and usage, and beautified pedestrian spaces through public art installations and greening initiatives.
Thank you FedDev Ontario and the Canadian Urban Institute for supporting local communities and revitalizing main streets.
