a comfortable and welcoming space to just chill, read, or meet with friends
a used bookstore for you to browse, with prices as low as one dollar!
a place for you to take your bottles and cans for recycling

What We Accomplished

Cultural Adventures: Explore museums and parks with our passes for free or discounted entry.
Borrow the Extraordinary: we've added a Seed Library, a Tea Library, vinyl records, record players, a dvd and cd player, Tonieboxes and headphones to our collection.
Support with Heart:The Friends of Whelden Library continue to run book sales twice a month in the lower level of the library. The Friends support the library with funds along with their own enthusiastic energy. Each year, this book sale contributes $6,000 to our operating budget. Thank you to the FOWL and those who donate books to our sale.
Diverse Programs: We offered over 200 programs, catering to various interests and ages.
Blossoming Gardens and Village Vibes: Enjoy annual Garden Tours during the Hydrangea Festival and explore exciting crafts/vendors at the Village Festival!
