We are pleased to announce NCVirtual in Real Time, a pilot program for whole-class middle school core courses with required synchronous sessions. The following courses are included in the pilot:
- 8th grade ELA
- 8th grade Math
- 8th grade Science
- 8th grade Social Studies
This program will include the following:
- Three 45-minute sessions of synchronous instruction per week taught by a certified NCVirtual instructor.
- Accompanying asynchronous modules taught by the same instructor in our Canvas system.
- Continuous student feedback, grading, instructional support, additional resources, etc.
This program may be beneficial if any of the following items pertain to your school:
- Your school is new to NCVirtual
- Your students are new to online learning
- Your students would benefit from live instruction
- Your school has teacher vacancies or limited teacher capacity
We will be hosting an informational webinar on February 10th at 12 pm. To attend, please register for the event here.
All districts/schools are invited to attend to learn more about NC Virtual IRT.
After the webinar, schools will be invited to complete a survey if they have an interest in the program. Schools selected to participate in the pilot will be contacted in March to begin setting a timeline for implementation and training.
