Sharing Your Vision for a Healthy Future

Virtual Event, Thursday, May 26, 2022, 2:00-4:00 PM

CLOCC formed 20 years ago when a group of passionate individuals from mission-driven organizations came together to figure out how to protect Chicago children from the rapidly expanding obesity epidemic. As we celebrate that 20-year history, we must also look to the future and redefine a collective vision for our movement. As the social, environmental, and cultural conditions in our world evolve, our strategies may also need to be re-aligned to leverage the resources and address the challenges of today. As we did in 2002, we hope to build the future of our movement on the foundation of knowledge, experience, and priorities of our partners.

Whether your work takes place here in Chicago, elsewhere in Illinois, or somewhere across the country, please join us on May 26th for our Spring Convening to share your vision for the future of obesity prevention, and help us identify priorities to promote and support nutrition and physical activity that reflect how our world has changed since 2002. A summary of our collective history and current priorities will shape the discussion, and breakout sessions will provide participants with the space to contribute their ideas for the future. In order to hear from diverse perspectives, including those beyond the current CLOCC network, we encourage you to forward this invitation to your partners and colleagues whose expertise can help inform the future of our collective work. We look forward to exciting discussions and hope that you will join us and share your voice!

This meeting will be held virtually. Access information will be provided to registrants and RSVP is requested. Please forward questions to
