Los Tonos Humanos (Human Tones) was founded in 2004 with the aim of performing repertoire spanning from the Middle Ages to the Spanish and Mexican Baroque using replicas of period instruments.
Los Tonos Humanos takes its name from songs for voice and instrumental accompaniment popular in the second half of the 17th century. Despite their brevity and economy of means, these songs recreated characters, stories and archetypical situations present in different literary and musical genres characteristic of the time.

The Mexican group is composed of musicians specialized in this repertoire and has performed all over their home country and in several European cities.
