Background
In September of 2012, the Kenya ICT Board and industry partners hosted a delegation from the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM).
A non-profit Indian consortium created to promote the development of IT (information technology) and business process outsourcing (BPO) industries. Some of the objectives for this and other past visits included the exploration of business and investment opportunities in Kenya, as well as strengthening relations of already existing partnerships, and creating awareness among local companies about India and identifying partnership potential. During the 2nd delegation visit NASSCOM signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Kenya ICT Board and KITOS for capacity building and best practices. As part of this MoU, all Partners will collaborate to - Exchange knowledge and best practices
- Create marketing opportunities in each other's markets for members
- Leverage each other's membership to foster partnerships and investment promotion
- Leverage each other's markets and Members to build industry capacity
Therefore all parties agreed to collaborate in all these activities and continue to develop a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship that promotes members business growth.
