Invoke Article 6 of the UN Charter: Expel the US to Rescue the UN

Editor's note - Kick the US out of the UN to save the UN?? Fritz Pointer (see article below) makes the case for this drastic move.
Most people probably worry that without the US the UN would close down. Certainly the UN would miss the money the US provides. But the UN's annual operating budget is surprisingly small -- $3.5 billion. By comparison the New York City Fire Dept.'s annual budget is $2.6 billion, while NYC's overall budget is roughly $116 billion.
China, Russia, India and a few other nations (eg, BRICS) along with the Assembly of States Parties (ICC) could easily fund the UN's basic budget in the absence of US funding considering the fact that the US, under strongman Trump, has already cut off funding to numerous UN agencies.
Pointer's argument to kick the US out of the UN could act as a wake-up call for the US. The majority of Americans support the UN.
The grand goal of ending war itself cannot be reached unless all nations are part of the "new UN" being developed by the Earth Constitution/Earth Federation Movement starting with its Provisional World Parliament. The plan is for global decision-making to be transferred from the undemocratic UN Security Council P-5 veto powers to a democratically elected World Parliament of all 193 nations and the world community.

Invoke Article 6 of the UN Charter: Expel the US to Rescue the UN
Fritz Pointer
Article 6 of the UN Charter states:
A member of the United Nations which has persistently violated the Principles contained in the present Charter may be expelled from the Organization by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.
The invoking of Article 6 to expel the United States from the United Nations is a concrete action that should be taken by the 192 member states of the UN General Assembly as well as NGOs and political activists and groups globally. This action involves the removal of the single most malignant, cancerous force in that organization.
Once that malignant force is removed, then the UN has some chance of being reformed or rehabilitated; to become a genuinely representative global international consultative council of countries and ensurer of states, which is what it is purported to want to be, what it’s supposed to be.
Expel the US to Rescue the UN
The aims of the UN Charter are: to save humanity from war; to reaffirm human rights and the dignity/worth of the human person (Palestinian, Jewish, African, European, Asian, Latin, etc.); to proclaim the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small; and to promote the prosperity of all humankind. The UN Charter is the foundation of international peace and security.
The US, on the other hand, is the greatest threat to global peace and security; the US has consistently betrayed the principles of the UN Charter since the United Nations Security Council’s inception. For example, in October of 2001, George W. Bush invaded Afghanistan, even though Afghanistan had not attacked the United States. Two years later, Bush invaded Iraq to change its regime. Both of Bush’s wars—in Afghanistan and Iraq—violated the UN Charter and left millions dead or displaced.
John Bolton, then Bush’s temporary ambassador to the United Nations, admitted that the US government regarded the UN as a tool of America’s foreign policy. Bolton declared:
There is no United Nations. There is an international community that occasionally can be led by the only real power left in the world, and that is the United States, when it suits our interest and when we can get others to go along.
Bolton added, consistent with US arrogance, racism, hubris, and stupidity: When the United States leads, the United Nations will follow. When it suits our interest to do so, we will do so.
Long list of US world crimes
Madeline Albright, Bill Clinton’s secretary of state, explicitly called the UN “a tool of American foreign policy.” It was Albright who oversaw the US-led NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, which also violated the UN Charter— and declared that the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children as a result of US-imposed sanctions against Iraq were “worth it” in pursuit of US interests.
Similarly, Barack Obama and his counterparts in France and Britain engaged in forcible regime change and murdered Libyan president Muammar Qaddafi. In this instance, the US hid behind the doctrine of “Responsibility to Protect.”
In accordance with Chapters VI and VIII of the UN Charter, this doctrine was intended to help protect populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and crimes against humanity. It is not surprising that the US and its allies have not utilized the “Responsibility to Protect” doctrine to protect the people of Palestine from massacres and other atrocities due to the US/ Israeli - Christian/Zionist genocide-in-progress (2023-2026).
Donald Trump followed suit by bombing Syria and Iraq and threatening to attack North Korea. In 2017, Trump sent 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles to attack Syria. Syria had not attacked the United States. The Security Council had not approved Trump’s use of force. This action therefore violated the UN Charter.
US obstructs UN mission for world peace
Invoking Article 6 of the UN Charter to expel the United States is a practical and expedient solution of this dilemma in pursuit of World Peace. Today, the US is bombing Yemen on behalf of Israel and threatening war with Iran. War is the only force that gives Americans meaning. Forget the carnage and destruction, it gives Americans what they long for in life: purpose, meaning, a reason for living. It gives Americans a cause beyond the shallowness, emptiness, and trivia they experience every day on commercial and social media.
Article 6 should be invoked to expel the US from the UN, in tandem with Article 27.3 which states that: Decisions of the Security Council on all other matters shall be made by an affirmative vote of nine members including the concurring votes of the permanent members provided that, in decisions under paragraph 3 of Article 52, a party to a dispute shall abstain from voting. The US is that party and must not or cannot vote.
The United States, since the previous inception of the League of Nations and now the United Nations (1945) has a clear track record of persistently and consistently violating the UN Charter and needs to be held accountable for its wanton predation of people and the planet. The US has invaded, plundered and viciously murdered, from air, land and sea, most inhabitants of our shared globe, including allies and alienated the rest.
The votes of the General Assembly would be an overwhelming “Yes” to invoke Articles 6 and 27 to expel the US from the UN. China and Russia would probably support invoking Article 6 to expel the US: that leaves France and the UK, who are feeling the wrath of the crumbling US empire; and the former, France is talking about “Strategic Sovereignty” or, making up their own mind.
So, it is possible. Who knows: one day the EU and Russia may see the beauty in living in peace and harmony and shared prosperity? Who knows: one day Euro-Americans will live in peace and harmony and shared prosperity with the Indigenous People of the Americas? Who knows?
