Diversity in the Boardroom 2019
|
|
The IoD is pleased to announce the recent publication of its
Diversity in the Boardroom 2019
report. It was gratifying, too, to see so much high profile media coverage (see links below) and positive engagement on social media.
All 3,000 IoD members were invited to take part in an online survey, with 381 members (60% male and 40% female) completing the survey, which equates to 13% of the membership. We would like to express our thanks to all who took part.

Billy Quinlan
has been Head of Global Banking Ireland at
BNP Paribas
for over three months, but has been with BNPP for nine years.
Combined, he has 20 years banking experience with BNP Paribas and AIB. He is a senior investment banker with significant international experience (Ireland, Finland, Sweden, North America, and the Baltics). With strong roots anchored in Europe’s banking history, BNP Paribas supports its clients and employees in today’s changing world and is the leading bank in the eurozone and a prominent international banking institution.
What, in your view, is the biggest challenge facing directors in Ireland today?
Balancing business growth, regulation, compliance whilst remaining an authentic and strong role model for colleagues and other stakeholders.
What do you hope to gain from your membership with the IoD?
Having been away from Ireland for almost six years, I view IoD membership as a great opportunity to re-establish and broaden my professional network. I will also act as a board director for some BNPP companies and IoD membership provides valuable professional development opportunities.
