IoD Members' Update
January 2020
|
|
Happy New Year to all our members. We are delighted to announce that the raffle at the IoD Ireland Christmas Lunch raised €21,705 for our designated charity, Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services (see below for more detail), which was a marvellous way to close the old year and decade.
We will be kicking off an exciting new year of events and director training on 23rd January with our first IoD Morning Briefing, featuring the ever-insightful Marian Finnegan of the Sherry FitzGerald Group, who will be looking at
The Irish Property Market Outlook
.
We are also delighted to announce that our 2020 sponsor for the IoD Morning and Evening Briefings series will continue to be
Mazars
, and for the Lunch Bites series will continue to be
IQ-EQ
.
We are extremely grateful for their continued support, which allows us the ability to provide these events to you free of charge.
We also have a great selection of workshops lined up for our
Spring Training Programme 2020
. These essential workshops have been designed specifically for directors and business leaders, and will be delivered by expert trainers in Dublin, Cork and Galway.
Furthermore, in relation to IoD events, please be aware that in doing our part for the environment, we will no longer print hard copy versions of the attendee sheets and speaker bio profiles at our events. However, this information will continue to be emailed in soft copy to all attendees in advance of the event.
We would also like to start the year with a thank you to you, our members, for making IoD Ireland the organisation that it is. Last year, we had our highest number of members joining the organisation. Your attendance and engagement at IoD events, professional development training, and your feedback on all our activities and resources, ensure that we strive continually to surpass expectations and to maintain the highest standards.

What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should possess?
Fearlessness - no matter your business, your goals and ambitions for that business, I think you need to be fearless to have the courage to make certain decisions and take risks to grow your business and ensure business success.
