VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: As mentioned earlier volunteer opportunities are available for the 2018 ACCE Conference set for July 17-20 in Greater Des Moines. The ACCE Annual Conference is the naiton's largest annual gathering of people who work for and with Chamber of Commerce. We are lucky to have Des Moines serve as host with more than 1,000 influencers from around the country and world in attendance. To learn more about volunteering see the link below. It would be great to have many of our ICCE members volunteer to welcome those attending.
Best of Luck!
ICCE wants to wish two Executives the best as they move on to new opportunities. Sadie Trytten, President/CEO with FuseDM and an ICCE Board member serving as Secretary/Treasurer for 2018/2019 and Connie Hammersley-Wilson, Executive Director with Ottumwa Area Chamber of Commerce. ICCE will miss your inspiration and involvement with ICCE. We wish you the best of luck in your new endeavors. Also, congratulations to Kent Sovern, Executive Director for AARP on your retirement. Kent has been a longtime friend and supporter of ICCE.
The Art of Dealing with Challenging Chamber Members
You can’t change people, but you can change the way you deal with them. Use some of the techniques featured in ChamberMaster’s, The Art of Dealing with Difficult People, to handle whatever is thrown your way.
Regional Meetings

Regions throughout the state continue to hold these very informative meetings. If you have not attended one you are missing out on great discussion and information relating to your region, chambers and ICCE. One of the questions at the Southeast Region meeting was how many of you use Chamber Bucks? Please share your success stories and/or issues you may have had with Chamber Bucks. Email and report your thoughts on Chamber Bucks. Remember to schedule your regional meetings and contact Shar Pardubsky with dates, time and location.
