Dear Friends,

Yet again, Qaraqosh's Christian community in Northern Iraq has endured another devastating tragedy. As you may have seen reported in media outlets such as the New York Times, Washington Post, BBC and others, a deadly fire at a wedding took over 100 lives and injured over 150 more. Iraq's Christian community needs our help now more than ever.

SWIC is already actively in conversation with partners on the ground to identify the needs of survivors, orphans, widows, and widowers. These needs are both urgent and long-term. Iraq's Christian families need your help, and we ask that you consider giving to support Iraq's Qaraqosh community.

We need to urgently raise funds to support Qaraqosh in light of this tragedy. Join SWIC in providing a lifeline to a community whose families have been radically changed forever by losing a child, parent, a primary caregiver, or their main breadwinner. Join us in Standing with Iraqi Christians in this moment of trial and adversity. Whether it’s in the immediacy of catastrophe, or helping revitalize livelihoods and families, SWIC walks with its friends in Iraq.
