Words from Weisner
As we begin the cooler weather, just a reminder to parents to put names of the students in their jackets and sweaters. While I generally remind students when they leave the cafeteria to grab their jackets, we have quite a large “lost and found” pile of clothes on the table in the cafeteria. If names were on these items, we could possibly locate the student who belongs to the jacket.

Congratulations to the following students who were elected by the student body to serve as officers in the Student Council. Garrett Hoffman is President;  Aarren Franklin is Vice-President; Anna Dunn is Secretary and Camille Hoffman is Treasurer. All of the students who presented their speeches to the student body did a wonderful job of preparing the speeches and presenting them to their fellow students! We look forward to a great year of involvement with this group!

As a reminder, the “Dress Down” day for those students who earned this day in the Mum Sale will be on Tuesday, October 22. Parents of these students have received an email regarding their child’s participation in this Dress Down Day.

On Thursday, October 24, our 8th-grade students will visit Bishop Hartley High School for their day of learning more about high school programs. An informational letter will be sent to all 8th-grade parents to inform them of the time of arrival and departure. The 8th-grade boys will also be invited to attend a similar day at St. Charles in January. Information on that day will be sent home in early January.

Next Thursday, October 24 is the end of Quarter 1. Teachers will work on Progress Reports on Friday, October 25 with Progress Reports electronically sent to parents the following week. Students will not be in attendance on Friday, October 25.

Until next week,
Janet Weisner
