Words from Weisner
This Thursday, October 24 marks the end of Quarter 1. The teachers will be working on Progress Reports at school on Friday, October 25. Progress Reports will be sent home electronically through School Speak to all families on Friday, November 1. Please take some time to review Teacher Comments at the end of the Progress Report. This should explain the reasons for specific marks on the Progress Report and give you an overall understanding of student progress.

There will be no school Mass on Wednesday, October 30. This Mass time has been moved to Friday, November 1 for the Feast of All Saints. As always, teachers will be discussing the importance of saints in our lives. In addition, all classrooms are working on virtues selected by their teachers. With on-going discussions of virtues, there are saints that we can read and reflect that help us to better understand specific virtues that these saints modeled in their lives.

On Thursday, October 31, students in Grade K – 4 may wear their Halloween costumes to school. We are asking that their masks are packed in their bookbag and students will be permitted to wear them for the Halloween parade in the afternoon in the gym. Room parents will be contacted about providing a snack and drink on Thursday. Students in Grades 5 – 8 may wear their favorite team or school sweatshirts/ t-shirts on Thursday, October 31.

Until next week,
Janet Weisner
