Words from Weisner
We had our installation of Student Council members and officers on Monday, October 28. The students did a great job of presenting their “platforms” to the student body. Following these presentations, the students voted on their favorite candidate. Congratulations to the following students:
Garrett Hoffman President
Aarren Franklin Vice-President
Camille Hoffman Treasurer
Anna Dunn Secretary
In addition, each classroom voted for their classroom representatives to Student Council. These representatives and the officers meet every month to plan for both service opportunities and social opportunities for the student body.

Friday, November 1, Progress Reports will be sent to all families electronically. Please take the time to review these reports (including the Comment Section). Also, remember to sign the Progress Report that indicates that you have seen the report. That is our way of knowing that each parent has viewed the current report.

Next week we will send out a Sign-Up program that provides parents with an opportunity to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences. These conferences are set for Tuesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 14 from 4:00 – 7:00. If a teacher is requesting a conference, an email will be sent to the parents indicating this request. For other students, parents can choose whether to schedule a conference or not. Students in Grades 6 – 8 are requested to join their parent for conferences. At these grade levels, students should be able to assist with conversations regarding their academic progress.

Final Reminder…..Halloween celebration is Thursday, October 31. Students in Grades K – 4 may wear their Halloween costume to school that day. Students in Grades 5 – 8 can have a dress down day, wearing their favorite college or sport team shirts/ sweatshirts.

November 1 is All Saints’ Day. Students will attend the 9:00 Mass that day and spend time reflecting on the importance of saints in their lives.

Until next week,
Janet Weisner
