Words from Weisner

We hope that you enjoyed our Christmas performance last night. Lots of lyrics to know and music to perform so we are proud of our students work in producing an enjoyable evening that is centered on the celebration of the birth of Jesus. All of our classes during the month of December have focused on the prayerful preparation for His birth. We look forward to celebrating Christmas with family and friends.

As a reminder, we have a 1:00 pm dismissal on Thursday, December 19. Students should bring a snack/ small lunch and drink with them on Thursday. Grades K through Grade 6 will be having a morning of Winter Wonderland as they move through activities and projects in a variety of classrooms. Having their snack/ lunch will then be one of the activities during the morning. Grades 7 and 8 will be attending Matchgirl at the Lincoln Theater. Two of their classmates, Erinn O’Malley who has the lead role and Celeste Sybert who also is in the performance will be dancing on Thursday. Thanks for Partners in Education for providing the admission to this event.

School will resume on January 6 (Monday).

The faculty and staff wish our families the blessings of the Christmas season. Thank you for your support and sharing your children with us. It is a special community

CAP - Creative Activities Program
Creative Activities Program (CAP) is in need of volunteers to help lead clubs for the winter sessions.

Clubs are open to grades 1-8 and one day a week after school from approximately 3:00 to 4:00 . The winter session dates are from Jan. 27 to Mar. 6.

Please consider giving an hour per week on the day of your choice to lead a club. This would be a great way to earn volunteer hours and can be anything from Legos to gardening to science club. I am happy to help with any ideas and materials to get your club started. We also will reimburse you for all materials used.

Our students really enjoy participating in after school clubs but it is essential for parent involvement to keep these clubs going.

Please contact Jasmine Williams at jasmine.williams03@ymail.com by Jan. 17th if you are interested.

Potential ideas:
Archery, Board games, Dodgeball, Lego (CAP has a large collection of Legos for use), Puzzles, Rocket Building/STEM, Sewing
