Irish Insider

February 12,2020
Dear St. Catharine Families,

I sent an email to all families, but for those of you who prefer to read information on the “Irish Insider”, I wanted to inform you that this will be my last year at St. Catharine School. These last twenty years have provided me with wonderful opportunities to be part of your families through the educational programs, events, activities and religious education. I have been blessed with a very dedicated faculty and staff who strives every day to provide the best education and religious instruction for your children. Through their support and the support of the staff and the parent community, St. Catharine School continues to nurture our students to be spiritual leaders and academic achievers in a sometimes busy and uncertain world. It has been exciting to see the growth of our community with the preschool programs, new addition to our school and parish that will give us and the room for expanded programs and even a new playground!

I will keep parents informed as we move on the process of selecting a new principal. As always, I ask for your prayers for wise choices in this selection. Thank you for your ongoing support. It has been my privilege to serve.

In addition, we are looking forward to the continued progress on the new playground. Every day there are new additions to the structure and we continue to hope for dry weather for total completion.

Thanks for all our parents who attended the Student-Led Conferences for Grades 4 – 8. The last set of these conferences will be the last week of February. More information on time and location will be sent next week.

Until Next Week,

Janet Weisner

Whipped Cream writing! This is probably the tastiest way to practice writing numbers: a plate full of cool whip and using a cookie to write. The Busy Bee teachers have been encouraging the kids to practice number formation and identification and this was a very popular way to get them interested!
