Thoughts with Mr. Watts
"The gate of heaven is very low; only the humble can enter it."
-Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton
January has always been a month of new beginnings and positive change. It is also one of my favorite months in terms of feast days for Saints. There are a few American saints and several who are patrons of education, teaching, and students. The saints, like the apostles were ordinary people who did extraordinary things for others. Let them intercede for us.

Next week will be another milestone for our school community. As we start the month of February on Monday, we also begin Catholic Schools Week, a celebration of our school and the people who make it such a special place. Although the weather can be gloomy, February offers a lot to be thankful for and Catholic Schools Weeks allows us to acknowledges those blessing that make us uniquely who we are.

As the calendar get fuller and the days get longer, let's all continue to see the good in each other, stay the course, and keep each other healthy and safe.

Yours in Christ,

Mark Watts
"Anxiety is the greatest evil that can befall a soul, except sin. God commands you to pray, but He forbids you to worry."
-Saint Francis de Sales
"For those with faith, no evidence is necessary; for those without it, no evidence will suffice."
-Saint Thomas Aquinas
