Thoughts with Mr. Watts
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
- 1 Peter 4:10
The Gospel on Sunday (Matthew 25) and today (Luke 19) were both versions of the fable of talents. We are all given gifts, some more than others, and what is important is how we use the gifts we are given.

We are ultimately judges in this life and the next on what we give away and not what we collect. Serving others, bringing others closer to Jesus, and spreading the Gospel through our actions is what all of our calling should be.

As the holidays approach, the days are shorter, and the weather is colder, it is easy to lose sight of what is important. I pray that our entire school community sees the good in all situations and can answer the call to serve others during these challenging times.
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ - Acts 20:35
COVID - 19 Information
COVID-19 Updates
If anyone in your household would have a Positive COVID-19 test result, you must notify Mr. Watts by calling (614) 949-7713 as soon as possible, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

We are required to post positive cases of students and staff on our website weekly. This data, along with other COVID-19 updates can be found at http://stcatharineschool.com/parents/covid-19/. Currently, we have 1 active cases and 3 cumulative case with students and staff. (As of 11.16)

Diocesan Policy on Travel
There has been some updates to the travel advisory information included in the Monday Message. I apologize for any confusion. Here is the latest travel policy from the Office of Catholic Schools:

The travel policy is a safety precaution to continue our efforts in supporting the well-being of the children, our families, and our staff.

When making your travel plans, please keep in mind that you will be required to quarantine for 14 days if you travel to a hot spot or high risk state as defined by the CDC and/or the State of Ohio.

You will not need to quarantine after travel and may return to school immediately if you did not travel to a hot spot or a high risk state, if you were not exposed to Covid-19, and you are not showing symptoms of Covid-19.

Please be sure to plan ahead and check the CDC and State of Ohio travel advisories before making your plans.

As always, our goal is to minimize disruption while at the same time keeping you, your family, and our staff healthy and well.

As Superintendent  of Catholic Schools Adam Dufault has explained, we are more concerned with where you travel as opposed to how you travel. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly.
School Lunches

  • This program is being provided by the USDA through the end of the school year!

  • You are helping our school when you order a take home lunch. This is provided for everyone. You are not taking away from any other students

  • Make sure you are using the Google Spreadsheet to sign up for Take Home Lunches. This spreadsheet is being sent through email to all families. The link will remain the same, but the menu items will be updated every Friday for the following week. Check your Digital Academy Account for Mr. Watts' emails. Here is a video to explain how to use the spreadsheet.

  • Any student who had all 5 days of the week checked, will continue to have the next 6 days checked for next week for your convenience. However, if you signed up for lunches on certain days, your requests were cleared. In either instance, please double check the sheet and make any necessary adjustments by Monday at 8:30 AM

  • When accessing the Google Sheet, keep in mind, you will have editing capabilities, so please only click on the checkbox for your child(ren).

  • PM Cohorts- You will be ordering lunch for the next day. The spreadsheet will reflect what you will be receiving on that day for tomorrow's lunch

  • St. Catharine At Home Learners - Please contact Ms. Hazel if the pick up schedule does not work for your family.

Thank you and if you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Raquel Hazel, our cafeteria manager
