Thoughts with Mr. Watts
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. - 2 Timothy 4:7
St. Catharine Families:

Thank you for trusting your children's education with us, here at St. Catharine School.
Thank you for being faithful and loyal to the mission at St. Catharine School.
Thank you for lifting each other up in times of challenge.
Thank you for being steadfast through the emotional peaks and valleys of this year.
Thank you for your perseverance and never losing sight of what is truly important at our school.
Thank your for adapting to the unfamiliar and the changes that take place.
Thank you for everything.

Although I am looking forward to summer, I am so very excited to get started for next year. If I don't get a chance to say so, have a joyous summer and know you are in my prayers.

Yours in Christ,

Mark Watts
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? - Psalm 27:12
Mask Guidance
The Centers for Disease Control recently revised their recommendations around mask guidance for individuals who are fully vaccinated. However, St. Catharine School will continue to require students and staff members to wear masks through the end of the current school year.

A Message from Governor Mike DeWine
"As you may have seen, the Centers for Disease Control recently revised their recommendations around mask guidance for individuals who are fully vaccinated.

While Ohio will be amending its health orders to comply with this new CDC guidance, in order to maintain consistency and model safe behavior for Ohio’s students, these changes do not affect the existing order requiring the use of facial coverings and other health protocols in our schools.

With limited numbers of students vaccinated, it is important that we continue these safety measures through the end of the current school year. I appreciate the efforts that you have undertaken locally to protect students and I look forward to continuing to work together for Ohio’s kids."

Please contact Mr. Watts directly if you have any questions or concerns.

If your child is entering Grades 2-8, you can order your child’s school supply packet now, which will be packaged and placed on your child’s desk at the start of the 2021-2022 school year. Star Beacon continues to provide great prices for our group order!

Please note, Kindergarten and 1 st grade teachers request a supply fee to purchase their own supplies and ask you to supply a couple of items, so please keep an eye out for a separate note from your Kindergarten or 1 st grade teacher.

Please go to this link to purchase your child’s school supply packet.
You are responsible for placing your own order and paying directly online. Your order must be placed by JULY 31 to guarantee fulfillment. The full 2021-2022 School Supply list is also enclosed and is posted on Backpack Express on the school website.

Please compare your Star Beacon order with the full school supply list to order the correct pack for your student—some teachers have different items on the list for boys/girls and based on the last name. You also should check the school supply list to know if there are any items that still need to be purchased by you. Certain items, such as a school bag/backpack, book covers, flashcards, and any other items noted “purchased at school” are NOT included in the online Star Beacon packets.
In the Comments section, please list your student’s name, grade, and favorite color.
