Thoughts with Mr. Watts
October is upon us and as we enter into the Month of the Rosary, we will pray for the intersession of Our Blessed Mother for the mental and physical health, safety, and continued spiritual, moral, and academic development of our students.
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
1 John 4:7-10

Now You Know!
School To-Go Lunches
Hot Lunches will be coming home with kids starting this Friday (October 2) with the PM cohorts, and Monday (October 5) for the AM. Parents will need to make sure to check the food and assure it is stored(refrigerator) properly. Storing and reheating instructions will be included in the bags as needed. We are going to try to make as many hot lunches as possible, so storing the food properly will be necessary to avoid any spoilage. Thank you for your corporation!

We will making lunches everyday but if you are in the PM cohort, you will be ordering the day before and store your lunch overnight (or over the weekend) for the next day. This will begin this Friday, October 2 with the PM cohort placing their order during attendance for Monday's lunch. Teachers will be aware of this ahead of time. The Lunches will be placed in bags outside of each classroom with the student's name or their pickup/drop off numbers that were given previously on them, prior to dismissal. Again, all lunches are FREE until December 31*. We will be unable to make changes to these lunches. Also no extras can be ordered at this time.

There was a question on a survey asking about allergy accommodations, specifically about milk. We will honor any allergy concerns as requested. We have not been updated yet with the allergy list for this year. So please email (rhazel@cdeducation.org) with any allergy concerns you have for your children. We will not honor requests for exchanges outside of allergy limitations, until we are able to serve lunches again like normal. We keep in mind nut allergies as a regular practice, and rarely use any ingredient that contains nuts or were manufactured around nuts. If any item were to contain nuts, that would be noted in bold on the menu on the website.

Thank you and if you have any questions, please reach out to Raquel Hazel, our cafeteria manager
