STUDENT AFFAIRS NEWS

Senior 4th Quarter Attendance Policy
This is a reminder of the 4th Quarter Attendance Policy for seniors that was distributed with graduation information at the Senior Parent meeting on Feb 28th.
  • Senior Fourth Quarter Attendance Policy: due to the limited number of days in the fourth quarter, any absence in the fourth quarter must be verified by a doctor's note, legal documents, or official college/service documentation. All unverified absences, including suspension days, must be made up prior to Commencement. In addition, seniors who arrive to school after 8:15 am during the fourth quarter are required to make up the time missed and will receive the proper number of demerits. (Student Handbook page 25)
  • Seniors will start to be notified of the time they need to make up from the start of the 4th quarter and three options on how to complete. It is imperative that seniors are in school since their marking quarter is already shorter for them.
Graduation Information
Graduation practice is on May 29th and is expected to last until 12:00 noon. Students are required to be at this practice to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. Tickets for Baccalaureate and Commencement along with caps and gowns will be distributed to students at this practice. Please ensure no appointments are scheduled for prior to 12:30 p.m. for prom as students will not be released early from graduation practice.

All extra ticket request notifications were sent to parents via Renweb on April 6th.
