Iron Man!!! 8/3/22
Proverbs 27:17 (KJV)
17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
I'm not ashamed, (well, maybe a little?), to admit that life has not been wonderful lately!
When I PERSONALLY go through these valleys, I like to stay silent-if possible.
I make fewer phone calls as I struggle to read my Bible and PRAY.
As someone wiser than me once remarked in times such as this:
“My Bible reads like the NY Times and Heaven seemingly turns to brass.”
In desperation I determined to somehow find a cool place where I could get out of my house and “FIND GOD!!!”
Have YOU ever gone looking for God?????????????????????
Well, God did not seem to know where I exist anymore and so I hoped to go somewhere-ANYWHERE- where He might choose to speak to me again...........
“HEY GOD, I AM STILL HERE!! WHERE ARE YOU??????????????”
As I was busy preparing for my sojourn my phone rang.
It was dear friends who I purposely had not spoken to in several days, (READ ABOVE FOR EXPLANATION) and RELUCTANTLY I AGAIN spilled the beans on my near hopeless situation/situations.
Thirty minutes into the conversation I felt better and encouraged to battle on.
As soon as that conversation ended a dear fellow Pastor phoned and his words of cheer and encouragement equally and further heartened me in this battle called life.
Proverbs 27:17 (KJV)
17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
The VERY simple TRUTH is this:
1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Life IS a battleground for EVERYBODY!!!
Your trials and tribulation are EQUALLY as hard as my trials and tribulations!!
WE all grow weary:
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
AND too often, we drop OUR Cross:
Luke 9:23 (KJV)
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Please note clearly-Jesus said the cross would be “DAILY!!!”
BUT even so, our Bible declares PLAINLY:
OUR “labour is NOT in vain in the Lord!: 1Cor. 15:58-printed above, AND
“in DUE SEASON we shall reap, IF we faint not!!!!!!!” Gal. 6:9-printed above!!!
Hebrews 6:10-15 (KJV)
10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
And so, in closing, may I sincerely THANK and and all who care to sharped MY iron!!!
Proverbs 15:23 (KJV)
23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
Pick up YOUR phone TODAY and call that beloved friend and family member.
Perhaps your ONE phone call or email or text, and, GOD FORBID, your VISIT may save a weary warrior of God!!!
In short, I did not have to leave my house to “find God!”
God sent His ministers to find me!!!!
