Celebration Helps Us See God At Work
Sometimes ministry happens so naturally that we can overlook its significance.
Someone is welcomed at the door. A child learns that they are loved by God. A grieving person receives a phone call. A meal is delivered. A prayer is offered. A visitor becomes a familiar face. A volunteer quietly prepares something that allows dozens of others to worship, learn, or serve.
These moments deserve to be celebrated—not because everything is perfect, but because they remind us that God is already at work among us.
That is the first movement of our Kick-Off Weekend: celebration.
During Kick-Off Weekend, September 12–13, we will enjoy a potluck mixer and time to meet, mingle, laugh, and give thanks for our life together.
Potluck sign-up sheets are available in the Welcome Center.
Please sign up to bring a salad, main dish, or dessert for our Saturday potluck following worship (6:00pm), and quiches or casseroles, fruits, and pastries for Sunday’s potluck between worship services (9:40am).
The food matters, but the people around the tables matter even more. Every dish becomes part of a shared table, and every person becomes part of our shared story.
Come celebrate what God is doing at Emmanuel.
