Is JESUS--A DEMOCRAT or REPUBLICAN?

“Follow thou Me” John 21:22

“My kingdom is NOT of this World” John 18:36

“The government under which Jesus lived was excessively corrupt and criminally oppressive; on every hand were crying abuses, extortion, intolerance and cruelty. Yet our Savior attempted no civil reforms. He attacked no national abuses, nor condemned the national enemies. He did not interfere with the authority or administration of those in power. He who was our example kept aloof from earthly government. Not because he was indifferent to the woes of men, but because the remedy did not lie in merely human and external measures. To be efficient, the cure must reach men individually, and must regenerate the heart.” DA 509

Why? Because the only POWER that can work the uplifting of mankind is the implanting of Christ into human nature and that must be done by the work of God’s Spirit and His Word in the individual and not through legislative authority. John 4:23,24

Now, as in Christ’s day, the work of God’s kingdom lies not with Democrats or Republicans clamoring for their human laws and exactments, but with God’s Ambassadors declaring to the people those Spiritual Truths that will work in them a life hid with Christ in God. John 1:12, 13 Being reconciled to God is the only solution for this world and not who is in the White House, but who runs your house. 2 Cor. 5:20

It is insanity to try to reform society through government. Because whether Democrat or Republican they’re still unregenerate. Jesus didn’t even attempt to reform His own church. Why? Because it is in the individual heart that the cure must be effected and everyone must submit to this transforming power of their own free will. All else amounts to no saving good. 1 Cor.2:2 Thus the goal of the gospel is never too reform government-but to experience empowered self-government in and through Jesus Christ!

That’s why I am neither Democrat nor Republican, neither Libertarian nor Progressive, but I am an AMBASSADOR “For which I am an ambassador in bonds; that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:20

Jesus FOR us, IN us, and THROUGH us is the only Hope of the world!!!
