Pam Eason's Celebration of Life in Washington, DC
Hundreds of family members, friends and colleagues gathered in Washington, DC, on Thursday, October 9, to say goodbye to WBENC President and CEO Pamela Prince-Eason, who passed away on June 30. Her Celebration of Life and Legacy was held at the Washington National Cathedral, with a reception at the Westin DC Downtown.
It was a true celebration, with lovely memories, tears, hugs, a government proclamation in her honor ... and also smiles, laughs, and even music. For the reception, the WBENC team had prepared a spread of Pam's favorite foods, desserts, and hobbies, including basketball hoops and a table full of rubber ducks collected by Jeep enthusiasts like Pam and her husband, John. In keeping with Pam's sense of humor, the WBENC staff danced to a choreographed performance of Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" that she had gotten them to perform at a national conference, and they invited everyone to the dance floor for more fun.
Rest in Peace, Pam. We miss you and will carry on your legacy of work and play.
