Loving Moms in Your Church
Be Ready to Help in a Post-Roe World!
Greetings!

The future of Roe v. Wade is in doubt. The legal protection for our unborn brothers and sisters could be a reality in Louisiana this summer!

But women will still need help, and there are many resources available in Louisiana.

But is your church prepared to support women and connect them to these resources in a post-Roe Louisiana?

One of the most important things your church can do right now is form a ministry to support pregnant and parenting moms in need. Then, pastors and priests must inform their congregations and communities that their churches stand ready to help.

Fortunately, there are two great resources to launch this in your church: Embrace Grace (generally used in Evangelical and Baptist churches) and Walking with Moms In Need (a Catholic ministry).

Regardless of what the Supreme Court does, the pro-life movement must continue to show love to moms. Your church is essential to doing just that!

Abortions Rate Drops Nearly 60% in First Month After Texas Heartbeat Bill Took Effect
We knew that abortions had decreased in Texas since passage of S.B.8., but updated statistics from Texas Health and Human Services released last week "show[ed] the number of abortions reported in the state decreased almost 60% in the first month after new restrictions went into effect,” according to BeLynn Hollers of The Dallas Morning News. "There were 2,197 abortions reported in Texas the first month after the new law went into effect Sept. 1, compared to 5,404 in August 2021,” Hollers reported.

During This Black History Month, Remember African-American Lives Lost to Abortion
This month, Black History Month, as we take time to reflect, honor, and celebrate the multitude of accomplishments of African Americans in this great country, we must do it with an understanding that the true measure and meaning of any country, movement, or people is their ability to love beyond their seen and unseen differences. And as we remember the accomplishments of so many, let us reflect and remember the millions of unborn African American babies whose lives are lost each day through abortion.

The Texas Heartbeat Bill remains in effect, and we are teaming with donors and volunteers to place these billboards (and others) on important stretches of interstate as women from Texas travel to Louisiana seeking abortion. Will you help us keep the boards up in the Shreveport area and on I-10 near Lake Charles, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge?
Do you want to learn more about saving babies and helping moms and how you can get involved in the pro-life movement?
