Conserve Water During Your Lawn's Winter Nap -Water Less in Cooler Temps

Decorative image.

During winter, your garden's watering needs change. Cooler weather means less water evaporates during the day. Your lawn and plants also get less sunlight and grow more slowly, so their roots take up less water.

Adjust your automatic irrigation to water only as needed because in winter:

🥶 With shorter days and less light, plants grow slower and require less water to sustain themselves.

🥶 Plants, trees, and lawn go dormant to conserve energy and do not need as much water during this rest period.

🥶 Less light means less photosynthesis, and plants, trees, and lawn only consume water when they are actively photosynthesizing.

🥶 Overwatering can cause the soil to stay soggy, leading to root rot.

Thank you for watering less in winter.

Tis the season to conserve water.
