The Message this Week
Preaching Text: John 11:1-44
A resurrection! No, not Jesus' resurrection...Jesus raises Lazarus. This is not a spoiler, there are still plenty of twists and turns along the way. Maybe you're noticing that twists and turns are an important part of John's storytelling, too!
God of resurrection, in the story of Lazarus, we get a glimpse of Easter Sunday. May this story remind us that resurrections may surprise us, coming right in the middle of our ordinary lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.

- Fill us with a love for your world and all that dwells within it, that we dedicate our lives to the care of all that you have made.
- Revive the hopes of all who struggle against oppression and injustice around the world. Strengthen the work of community organizers, and advocacy groups.
- Comfort those who have lost someone dear to them. Be with those who face the end of their lives, and bless all who suffer with your healing touch, especially Steve & Diane Hitzemann.
- With all the saints who dwell in your eternal resurrection, unite us at length, and keep us in communion with your whole church on earth.
Into your hands we place our prayers, spoken and unspoken, and entrust all things to your eternal care. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
