Denver Parks & Recreation | June 4, 2025

Sunny days are ahead (we hope). Through rain and shine, you can depend on us to keep a green composure. Check out the latest and greatest from Denver Parks and Recreation!

Denver in the Top 10 🏆

Denver climbed to the 10th place in Trust for Public Land's ParkScore Index! An impressive 96% of Denver residents live within a 10-minute walk of a park or accessible school yard—well above the 76% national average. Denver Parks and Recreation's Executive Director Jolon Clark said, "Every Denverite deserves access to quality green spaces that are close to home. This top-ten ranking reflects the collective dedication of our residents, partners and employees to building a parks system that is equitable, accessible and resilient."

Mural Art on Trails 🎨

We have partnered with HCA HealthONE to bring 8 vibrant murals to the Cherry Creek and South Platte River trails. The collaboration aims to make a positive community impact beyond our shared values of service, health, and connection. The murals celebrate community, encourage outdoor activity, and beautify our trail system. Keep an eye out during your next trail adventure!
