SO MANY GREAT EVENTS!

The celebrations are about to start and Finda is on her way to see us! District officers are making final preparations to welcome you and share how well we have all done together. It is exciting whether you are helping host this party or invited to attend!

Our Love in Action has changed the world -- and it's important to acknowledge the impact that our UWF sisterhood has made! Bring a friend to celebrate with us. See you there!

CELEBRATIONS BEGIN ON SATURDAY!

District Meetings 2023

Gather with women in your district to hear Finda's stories of God's Love, for fellowship, and to celebrate all the mission you have done together the past year. Be inspired with new ideas. Awards, new officers and more await you. The DISTRICTS tab has info about your District, your officers and more.

Finda Quiwa is one of the six UWF Regional Missionaries. She has seen migrant workers from many countries and how vulnerable they were to injustices of sexism, racism and other inhuman treatment. Click to read Finda's bio here.

LOVE OFFERING EXPLAINED

Love Offering explained

A "Love Offering" is customarily given at our United Women in Faith District and Conference Annual Meetings. Each year it is decided what mission to designate to receive those specially given funds.

At the NTC UWF Leadership Team meeting held on September 9, 2023, the Team voted to allocate the offerings collected at each of the 2023 NTC District Annual Meetings as follows:

  • ½ will be designated for International Mission Code 3019240 (to honor Finda Quinwa) and
  • ½ for Pledge to Mission (to benefit all UWF missions).

The donor always has the option to specifically designate their donation for another purpose.

LOCAL PRESIDENTS - TO DO list!

Local President TO DO 9.23

Reminders for Local Presidents:

1- Attend your District's Annual Meeting!

Bring your officers and encourage all members to attend, celebrate and get new ideas from the sisterhood. All Annual Meetings are on Saturday mornings in September, starting this week.

2- Be sure your unit is participating in the 2023 Conference Mission Project! Your group can collect items or donate funds. Be sure to learn about the missions you choose to support. New resources for learning about MMIWG have been added and good for a circle meeting or on your own. Click to learn how to support our annual mission projects.

4- Please do the National Survey by Sept. 30th! All units need to be counted. This is easier to finish than the Annual Report that you sent to your District President. CLICK to take the survey now.

Tip: An "All Access Group" is a nontraditional group led by a Convener (not President with traditional officers) and has a flexible leadership structure. Email if you'd like to know more.

5 - Dedicate a Minute In Mission by Sept. 30th! Ask your leadership team and encourage all members to honor or memorialize a woman that positively impacted their life. See Burn A Candle info above.
