Back-to-School Day is Monday, August 3

Get Ready for
Back to School Day 2020!

We look forward to seeing you at B2SD...the official kick-off to the 2020-2021 school year.
Back to School Day will look a bit different this year. In order to socially distance, we invite parents and students to visit with classroom teachers according to a schedule organized by last name.

Traditional students, as well as those who chose virtual learning, are invited.

Elementary, middle, and high school students who have chosen virtual learning MAY pick up their textbook sets during their assigned time on B2SD if they are comfortable doing so. High school virtual students' textbooks will be located in room 248 on B2SD.

Virtual families who do not wish to come to the building during B2SD may pick up their textbooks in drive-thru fashion under the main entrance portico on  Wednesday, August 5 between 8:00AM and 1:00PM.   Simply pull under the portico and follow the posted instructions. Your textbooks will be brought out to your car.

Traditional in-person students will be issued textbooks in their classrooms during the first week of school.
You have a choice...but only for a little longer.

The final date for current parents to solidify their choice of
on-campus/traditional OR virtual/online classroom instruction
is Tuesday, August 4.
Email Martha Fairley if you wish to make a change.

Jeans for Missions
Each Friday of the school year, students have the opportunity to unite with missionaries around the world to share the hope of Jesus Christ.

Giving one dollar per week makes a difference in the lives of others and wearing jeans is an outward sign that you are a partner in these ministries.

Have you ever wondered where the money goes?

ELCA provides over $1500 in monthly support toward the following ministries through Jeans for Missions...
• Teach Beyond
• Helping In His Name Food Pantry – Henry County
• Fellowship of Christian Athletes
• Mission Quest – Phil and Jamie Covone in Mexico
• Grace Team – planting Christian schools in Africa

Would you prefer to donate to Jeans for Missions in one 'lump' sum? Complete this online form to pay $35 per year ($1 for each Friday of the school year).

A Message from the School Nurse

If your child requires medication to be administered during school hours,  this form must be completed and on file in the nurse's station.

Save time by completing it ahead of time and drop it off to the nurse on B2SD.

After-School Enrichment
During the ELCA enrollment process, there is an opportunity to register for the After-School Enrichment Program. Parents who specified the need for their children to attend ASEP on a regular, full-time basis will be billed according to the guidelines available at .

If you did not register for ASEP during the enrollment process (or are not sure) and you wish to do so (for a full-time basis), please visit to register as soon as possible.

No registration is required for students who may or will attend ASEP on a drop-in basis.

Contact Angie Rush with any questions.
Other After-School Opportunities
All student athletes in grades 6 through 12 must have a completed ELCA Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Packet on file with the athletic trainer prior to the start of the athlete’s sport.

Beginning this year, ELCA is using a program called DragonFly Max for all high school AND middle school athletes. Through this program, you are able to sign all the required sports education forms and submit digital copies of your child’s physical completely online from your phone or computer.

To create your DragonFly accounts please go to

This may be done from your phone, computer, or the available.

First - create a parent account, once the parent account is set up you will be able to add your child/children by selecting “Add a Child.” The ELCA code is 5TRQVP. Using the code is the best way to find our school. When selecting sports, please select all sports your child plans to play during the 2020-2021 school year. Also, please be mindful of the middle school vs high school team options.

After you have created your child’s account, click on “Submit Paperwork” under their name and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Get Started” under “Prep for 2020-21.” Please complete all assigned forms and documents.
