CAP Field Fundraising Ideas
Did you find a fundraising idea your unit could use in the next 18-months?
Yes! I did! We really needed this list.
Still looking - need to think about it.
I did not find the perfect one this time, but keep the ideas coming!
CAP Field Fundraising in Action
We want to see your cadets in action (not in uniform) !
It's important to create and maintain an archive of your unit's CAP service to our communities and our nation, shaping lives and saving lives. Preparing a go-to package of CAP's fact sheet, your wing's fact sheet, CAP's annual report/Report to Congress, news coverage and action photos of cadets ( not in uniform) serving in your communities will prove to be a valuable resource for reaching out to potential supporters.

Share photos of your unit fundraising activities below!
Have YOU added the Matching Gifts link to your unit's website yet?
At our 2019 National Conference, Gen Smith issued a friendly challenge for wings to grow the number of members and extended family who participate in employer matching gift programs. More dollars translates to more impact for our members and our missions.

More than 19,000 companies will match employee and retiree contributions, as well as match volunteer hours given to Civil Air Patrol. Last fiscal year, nearly a quarter of a million dollars was raised for local units and CAP programs.
Is your squadron participating in the Commander's Matching Gifts Challenge?
Yes
No
I did not know about the challenge, but I am interested!

Q. How does one go about getting a ".org" email address so that when soliciting or sponsors and donations it is not coming from a cap.gov or akwg.cap.gov email address?

A. You may request a .org email address from the CAP Development Departnment at NHQ by emailing the fieldfundraising team. The CAP Development Department works with the IT department to set one up for your unit's use.
