Community Appreciation: Thank You to Jason Notturno and Raphael Painting

We extend our heartfelt thanks to one of our newest members, Jason Notturno, owner of Raphael Painting, for an extraordinary act of generosity.

Jason reached out to the Rabbi and offered to donate his and his team’s time, paint and labor to repair cracks and repaint the hallway and social hall walls and ceiling. His crew meticulously filled cracks throughout the spaces, painted with care, and worked with impressive speed and efficiency. They kept everything clean, organized, and—even more impressively—put every item back exactly where it belonged. And the result? WOW—does it look good.

The transformation is remarkable, and it has truly brightened our building.

Thank you, Jason, and the entire Raphael Painting team, for your beautiful contribution to Island Synagogue. Your generosity and craftsmanship have made a meaningful impact on our community.

Parsha on the Patio

The Brotherhood's inaugural session of "Parsha on the Patio" was well attended with over a dozen shul members. Rabbi Kornfeld was exceptional in conveying the meaning and insights into the Parsha in a casual manner with questions and answers. Men of the synagogue are urged to attend the next session on Sunday, March 22nd and we encourage you to bring a friend.
