Sweet Beans Coffee Opens in Carrollton 

On January 27, 2025, The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the opening of Sweet Beans Coffee & Roastery, at Eagle Harbor Shopping center. This women and veteran owned business offers a diverse selection of delectable treats, including burritos, bagel sandwiches, and kolaches. Sweet Beans also provides catering services, featuring coffee, baked goods platters, food platters, fruit bouquets, and chocolate-dipped strawberries. With a commitment to quality, they roast their own coffee beans, available for both retail and wholesale, and tailor the roast to meet each customer’s unique preferences. Sweet Beans also has a location in Hampton.

Publix Opens Carrollton Store

On January 15, 2025, County officials and staff joined store manager, James Partin, for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of Publix at Bartlett Station in Carrollton. The new 48,000 square-foot store is the fourth location to open in Hampton Roads and employs approximately 140 associates.

Camp Seeks Employers For Job Fair

Paul D. Camp Community College will host a Job Fair at the Workforce Development Center in Franklin on Wednesday, March 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fee is $150.00. Businesses that would like to participate should reserve their space by emailing business contact and billing info to Lisha Wolfe at Camp.
