New Branch Farms Celebrates Opening


The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially celebrate the opening of New Branch Farms, a new wedding and event venue located at 14509 Lawnes Drive in Smithfield. A Business After Hours networking event was held immediately following the ribbon cutting. The 4,000 square-foot modern farmhouse-style venue has hosted 32 events (mostly weddings) since opening in October 2022. MORE

Business Appreciation Pop-Up Parties Held


In May, Isle of Wight Economic Development partnered with the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce for the second year in a row to host a series of pop-up parties throughout the county to celebrate Business Appreciation Month. Thank you to everyone who came out to participate. It was our pleasure to celebrate you and the contributions you make to the county. We also would like to congratulate our $500 grand prize winners at each pop-up party location:

Isle of Wight County Economic Development is pleased to be a sponsor of the 7th Annual Job Fair hosted by Tidewater News taking place on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Paul D. Camp Community College Regional Workforce Development Center, 100 N. College Drive, Franklin.

 

The registration cost for businesses to participate is $250. Electricity is an additional $50 cost.
