IMPORTANT: Isleton Bulky Waste Collection Day

Isleton residents are invited to participate in this year’s Bulky Waste Collection on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cal-Waste hosts this annual event to help residents properly dispose of large household items that cannot fit inside regular carts.

Please note that staff will be on a lunch break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Residents must bring materials directly to the Isleton Corporation Yard, 100 6th Street, and proof of residency is required. Each household may deliver up to two cubic yards of bulky waste. Staff will be available on site to assist with unloading.

Accepted materials may include furniture, carpet, mattresses, appliances such as refrigerators and washers, lawn and garden equipment that has been drained of fluids, green waste, clothing, electronics, bicycles, and other similar large personal items. Items must be able to be lifted by two people and may not exceed 60 pounds. Branches and tree trunks must be under 2 inches in diameter, 5 feet in length, and no more than 50 pounds.

Please note that household hazardous waste and tires will not be accepted at this event.

Keep Batteries Out of Recycling Carts

Batteries may seem small, but they can create a serious safety risk when placed in recycling carts.

In this video, Leesa takes you onto the tipping floor of our Materials Recovery Facility, where recyclables are dropped off and sorted. Recently, our team has noticed a dangerous trend: batteries ending up in recycling loads.

When batteries are crushed by equipment or compacted inside collection trucks, they can spark and start fires. Even small batteries can cause a dangerous situation for our drivers, facility team, equipment, and the materials being processed.

Please do not place batteries in your recycling, trash, or organics carts. Batteries and other hazardous waste should be taken to a Household Hazardous Waste facility for proper disposal.
