COME JESUS COME!

Christmas is almost here and the New Year 2025 is just around the corner. Many of us will be celebrating with family and friends the birth of Jesus Christ. Every year at Christmas we are reminded of His birth and how salvation was brought to every man and every woman.

As we move forward to the new year, we are optimistic that with a new administration in Washington D.C. there will be opportunities to pass legislation that will honor God nationally as well as in Rhode Island. 

Here are some of the plans that the Rhode Island Family Institute has to fulfill our mission and make Rhode Island a state where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished.

In January, I will be meeting with the Senate and House minority leaders to help them with support for passing pro-family legislation for 2025 in the following areas: 

• Banning Gender surgery on minors,

• Removing counseling restrictions for gender-confused minors,

• Enforcing obscenity laws in schools and libraries, 

• Promoting School Choice Options to help Private Schools and Home-Schoolers,

• Protecting minors from adult porn-websites,

• Raising awareness of the dangers associated with recreational marijuana and the need to

restrict ‘Pot-Shops’ that are multiplying in RI neighborhoods. 

My wife Cyndi has been a soloist for many years and one of her favorite songs right now is “Come Jesus Come” by CeCe Winans. 

Of course the Christmas season is all about Jesus’ First Coming, but this song is about his Second Coming and it’s a plea for him to come soon, something we can look forward to that fills our hearts with hope! 

Come, Jesus, Come

We've been waiting so long - For the day You return

To heal every hurt and right every wrong

We need You right now, Come and turn this around

Deep down I know - This world isn’t home

Come Jesus come!

It's hard to believe, but the Bible says that when Jesus comes, HE will completely heal the brokenness and restore justice in our world. We can be a part of that process now, in our communities and in our state. 

It’s not about POLITICS, it is about PEOPLE and bringing the influence of Christ right where we live by letting our light shine for godliness and biblical values.

Please continue to help us by PRAYING, by GIVING and by INVITING us to speak at your church, organization or small group. We offer two free workshops: ‘The Danger to Families of Today’s Marijuana,’ (45 minutes), and ‘Safeguards to Protect your Family from Pornography (90 minutes).

One more thing I would like to mention. 

If you have a ‘Biblical Worldview’ you understand that Satan’s plan is to destroy the little nation of Israel so there will be no Jerusalem for Jesus to return to. Anti-Semitism is on the rise even here in Rhode Island. Pray for Israel and visit - the Rhode Island Coalition for Israel

Please pray for Israel and her leaders that God would give them great wisdom and protection because they are surrounded by their enemies. Pray as the Apostle Paul did that the eyes of their heart would be opened to recognize their Messiah.
