Message From The Principal

This week we welcomed 1,250 students to Conestoga for 4-day instruction!  It was great to have so many students in the halls and attending classes in-person again. The students did an excellent job adhering to the safety protocols, wearing masks and social distancing. Students are also adjusting well to the one-way halls as they navigate their way to classes with staggered dismissal bells and increased passing time.

Teachers have done an outstanding job transitioning to the 4-day model and once again adjusting to another instructional change. Again, we encourage virtual students to utilize their cameras when participating to best build classroom community and enhance the instructional experience.

It has certainly been an exciting week at the Big C with the hallways and classrooms buzzing again with activity. As always, I remain available for any questions or concerns you might have. Please feel free to contact me at any time. Wishing you all the best. Stay well and Go ‘Stoga,

Amy A. Meisinger, Ph.D.

Principal

Senior Internship Program

Seniors are actively looking for internship and reaching out to professionals in a wide variety of fields. Due to the uncertainty caused by Covid-19, it is harder for seniors this year to find internships, but that hasn’t dampened their spirit or ingenuity. Our goal is to help the seniors explore many internship opportunities and provide some flexibility as they do that.

Seniors should reach out Mrs. Braun at [email protected] with any questions. All information, materials, deadlines, and communication for the Senior Internship is available to students through the Senior Internship Course in Schoology.

If you are interested in supporting the program by offering a Conestoga senior an internship, or have any questions, please contact Jeanne Braun, the Senior Internship Coordinator.

PSAT UPDATE

PSAT/NMSQT – Results for the PSAT/NMSQT are now available on the College Board website. All students who participated in the PSAT are reminded to access their scores.

PSAT 8/9 – As we continue to prioritize the mental health of our students, we will not offer the

PSAT 8/9 to the 9th graders this school year. In light of the pandemic, we believe it is in the best interest of our students that we forgo testing this year to alleviate any further stress for 9th graders.

Spring Sports Update

Spring Sports have begun and we are starting competitions this week. As far as spectators, All spectators must wear a mask and be socially distanced from others who are not residing in the same household. For events at Teamer Field, the visiting team will be permitted 2 spectators per rostered player. The Central League will provide these passes prior to the first contest. For home games, household members of Conestoga players (max 4) will be able to attend. At this time, our Health and Safety Plan does not permit student spectators. We will continue to follow the guidance from PIAA and the health departments as the situation evolves.
