Snow Day Planning

As you are aware, this weekend’s weather forecast may have impact into next week. If school is closed, we will operate under our Flexible Instructional Day schedule. High school students will virtually attend all 8 classes for 20 minutes each. Details about our FID schedule are available on our website here. We encourage all students to charge their laptops and be prepared for the possibility of virtual instruction.

SENIOR EXPERIENCE ELECTIVE

Members of the Class of 2026 have begun 'Phase 1' of their Senior Experience Elective by attending an information session this week. They are now working to identify their areas of career interest and are drafting letters of interest to be sent to potential community sponsors. They are also contacting faculty members to serve as their advisors during the Senior Internship Program. Seniors do not need to have contacted a Community Sponsor at this point in the process. Lists of past experiences are available in the Library and the Student Services Center. Students are not limited to what has been done in the past but the lists and journals can be helpful in identifying areas of interest. Course Selection Evening

Course Selection Night for the 2026-27 School Year will occur on Thursday, January 29, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Conestoga High School. Prior to Course Selection Night, each student will receive a copy of the Conestoga Program of Studies in homeroom. Through teachers and counselors, students will learn about course offerings and upcoming course selection procedures. Parents are encouraged to review the book and discuss course selection with students in advance of the evening program. Course selection for students will open on February 6, 2026.

FINANCIAL AID EVENING

Attention to all Students and Parents/Guardians:

Save the date! The Student Services Department welcomes you to join us for Financial Aid Evening on Thursday, March 12^th at 7PM. This VIRTUAL program will help families learn more about navigating their way through the financial aid process as it relates to post-high school planning. We are pleased to welcome Kyra DePersia, Assistant Director of Financial Aid at West Chester University. We look forward to having her for this informative evening. A link will be shared closer to the time of the event. 

Attention Junior Parents

Post-High School Planning 

It is our pleasure to invite you to schedule a virtual or in-person post-high school planning conference sometime this winter or spring. In this conference, you will meet with your child and your child’s counselor. We will provide you with a variety of materials and information to help you begin this process. Meetings opened on December 1^st and dates may be scheduled through April.  For more information, please open attached documents below. We look forward to seeing you!

Class Parent Organizations & Class Meetings

Each grade level at Conestoga has a Class Parent Organization which meets each month. These class meetings are held virtually on Microsoft Teams. The link to your grade level meeting will be the same each month. The Parent Chairs will provide the links to the meetings in their email blasts. The links can also be found on the CHS website. The meetings are led by the Class Parent Chairs and include updates from Dr. Meisinger, the Assistant Principals, and Counselors. Information provided at the meetings also includes school activities and events, community announcements and parent volunteer opportunities. Meeting dates, meeting links, and Parent Chair contact information can be found from the Parent Chair emails and on the CAPCO website.

Athletic Update

The Winter sports season is in full swing. Please be sure to check the athletic website for any postponements due to inclement weather. The athletic field expansion is still in progress and should be completed for the Spring season with the exception of the softball field. It is still an active construction site and the fields will re-open once it is safe to do so. If you can’t make a game please follow us on our livestream at Conestoga High School | High School Sports | Home | Hudl. The Spring sports meeting will be on Wednesday, February 11^th at 6:00 pm virtually.

Traffic Safety Reminders

In agreement with the township, the New Lower North Parking Lot is not to be used as a Drop Off in the morning or a Pick-Up in the afternoons. We ask our parents to please plan accordingly when dropping off and picking up your child.

• DROP OFF – Parents may drop off in the front of the building using two lanes. The bus circle is available beginning at 7:40AM as an additional drop-off location.
• PICK UP - Parents may pick up in the front of the building using two lanes. The bus circle is available at 3:00PM for parents to pick up students.
• Please DO NOT use the Main Lot for drop-off and pick-up as it creates more congestion for our student drivers.
• Drive slowly and carefully on school drop off areas and nearby roads.
• Obey all traffic flow patterns and rules of the road DO NOT MAKE ILLEGAL U-TURNS
• Please be respectful of our neighbors. DO NOT use driveways as a turn around.
• The Timothy School should not be used as a drop-off/pick-up location.
• When dropping off and picking up students, please pull all the way up allowing traffic to flow.
• Discuss pedestrian safety with your kids (use crosswalks/sidewalks, look both ways, don't "walk and text," etc).
