Raptor Visitor Management System Coming to T/E Schools

The T/E School District will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System to enhance the entrance protocols already in place in our schools. The new visitor management system will provide a consistent method to monitor visitors and volunteers in our buildings while alerting school personnel to the presence of individuals who appear on the sex offender database. We anticipate that the Raptor Visitor Management System will be functional in our schools beginning the week of November 7, 2022.

What to Expect When Visiting T/E Schools

  • You will be asked to present a government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, when entering our schools.
  • Once cleared, you will receive a printed badge with your name, photo, date and reason for your visit. The badge must be worn at all times when in the school. When leaving, you will turn in your badge to the attendant to check out.
  • After the first registration, you will not need to have your ID scanned for subsequent visits to the school. The attendant will find your name in the system and use the record of your previously-scanned ID to sign you in and print a current badge.

For additional information and FAQs on the Raptor Visitor Management System, visit the T/E School District website at www.tesd.net/raptor.

Live Streaming of Regular School Board Meetings

The T/E School Board will began live-streaming regular School Board meetings with the October 25, 2022 meeting. The meetings will begin at 7:30 PM. Visit the T/E School District website for dates of upcoming regular School Board meetings.

A video recording of each regular Board meeting will continue to be available on the T/E School District website following the meeting. At its discretion, the Board may discontinue video recording or live-streaming due to technical issues, personnel availability or other circumstances that disrupt or impede the meeting.

How do I access the live meetings?

How can I make a public comment during the meeting?

The School Board will continue to provide in-person public comment opportunities at all public Board meetings. Residents and taxpayers who wish to make a public comment may do so in person during the public comment periods at the meeting. Comments may also be shared with the Board via email at [email protected]; however, these comments will not be read aloud during Board meetings.

Message From The Food and Nutrition Services Department

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Many studies have shown an improvement in learning for students who eat breakfast and Pennsylvania has taken steps to ensure all students will have access to a meal.

On Friday, September 9, 2022, Governor Tom Wolf announced that Pennsylvania will make it possible for all schools participating in the School Breakfast Program (SBP) to provide free breakfast for all enrolled students during the 2022-23 school year, beginning with breakfast meals served Monday October 3, 2022. All TE students have been eligible to receive a free breakfast meal effective 10/3/22. Students must select a reimbursable school breakfast per the SBP meal pattern requirements. Second meals and a la carte purchases will be charged normal ala carte prices.

Please use the following link to help understand what your child must take for their breakfast to qualify as a breakfastmeal https://www.tesd.net/Page/7498Our cashiers will continue to encourage students to select a meal to ensure they receive a well-rounded breakfast.

Respectfully,

Dave Preston

Food and Nutrition Supervisor

The state playoff games will begin next week. We will be using paperless tickets for the games. Information on HomeTown Ticketing is on the athletic website. Also, when dropping off and picking up students from practice or games, the police are asking parents not to park on Conestoga Road as it creates a safety concern.
