September 2025

As we turn the corner into fall here in Arizona, we’re finally beginning to feel a little relief from the summer heat. Just as the seasons shift, there is a new energy at Hushabye Nursery. Each day, we are reminded of the sacred work of helping babies heal and families find hope. We see the light ahead—our programs are growing, our partnerships are strengthening, and the ripple effect of compassion continues to spread. We are so grateful to walk this journey with you, because together, we are giving every baby the chance for a healthy start. Thank you for being part of our Hushabye family.

It Takes a Village

We are profoundly grateful to the Edwards Family Foundation for their sponsorship of our Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Gala and for their steadfast support through the years. You remind us that it truly takes a village to embrace babies and families impacted by substance use, and your generosity continues to strengthen that village. Thank you for being one of our greatest champions and for walking beside us in changing lives.

At Hushabye Nursery, every family has a story — and Caitlynn’s is one of strength, healing, and the power of compassionate care.

Caitlynn is a proud two-time Hushabye mama. She welcomed her first daughter Londynn Rose in 2022 and her second Az'Ariah in 2025. She first learned about Hushabye from Community Medical Services, a methadone clinic where she was receiving support during her first pregnancy. At the time, she was seeking more than just treatment — she was searching for a way to change her life.

“I wanted to parent my child without DCS involvement,” Caitlynn shared. “But I knew I couldn’t do it alone. I needed the support that only Hushabye could offer.”

That support became life-changing.

“My experience was life-changing! I'm so thankful that Hushabye exists because without becoming engaged with them, I'm not sure how things would've worked out,” Caitlynn said. “They were able to support me and educate me at the same time. Because of that, I was able to walk out of the nursery doors with my healthy, beautiful baby girls both times. For Hushabye, I am forever grateful.”

Her journey with Hushabye didn’t end there. Inspired by the care she received, Caitlynn joined the team as a Peer Support Specialist after her first daughter was born.

“I’ve never found another job as rewarding,” she said. “Hushabye will always be a part of my extended family."

Caitlynn’s story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when compassion meets evidence-based care. Her courage and dedication inspire us every day — and we are honored to walk alongside her and so many other families on the path to healing and hope.

Hushabye Nursery's World Changer: Brandon

Brandon is a dependable member of our Outpatient Team. He makes sure to reach out to clients consistently, follows through with his commitments, and always has a smile on his face. Clients often comment on his warm nature and how helpful he is. Whenever a member of our team needs help with something, Brandon is happy to help. Brandon is well-organized, calm, and structured which makes him everything a Case Manager needs to be!

Unlike traditional hospital settings, Hushabye offers a quiet, dark, and loving environment that helps ease withdrawal symptoms for babies born exposed to substances. But the care doesn’t stop there. Families receive wraparound support, peer guidance, and hope for the future.

The results are powerful: babies need less medication, spend fewer days in withdrawal, and nearly 80% go home with a caregiver—far exceeding national averages.

Now you know.

Star Light Sponsor

Thank you to our Star Light Sponsor, Mother’s Grace, for your unwavering support and generosity. Your partnership helps us shine brighter for the babies and families we serve, making a lasting impact on their lives. We are deeply grateful for your grace and commitment to our mission. We’re honored to celebrate another year of life-changing impact together. Thank you for your continued support!

At Hushabye Nursery, our volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. They step into the nursery not just with willing hands, but with open hearts—offering love, comfort, and compassion to babies experiencing withdrawal and the families walking alongside them. Their presence is a reminder that healing doesn’t happen in isolation, but in connection. Every moment spent rocking, holding, or simply being present has the power to change a life.

To DeDe, three words that describe the magic at Hushabye are empowering, loving, and life-changing.

When asked what keeps her coming back to Hushabye Nursery, DeDe Rudolphy’s answer is simple and powerful: “The babies!! The families and the staff!!” For DeDe, it’s about being present—truly present—for the tiniest and most vulnerable, especially when they need love the most. “I do not want these babies to go through this withdrawal alone,” she shares.

DeDe’s time in the nursery is filled with quiet moments of comfort—soft cuddles, gentle rocking, singing, and the peaceful reward of a sleeping baby. “Holding each baby and seeing what works to help them rest and sleep—it’s incredibly rewarding,” she says. Her compassionate presence not only soothes the babies but also inspires everyone around her.

Volunteering at Hushabye has changed DeDe’s life. She’s become a better listener, less judgmental, and more deeply aware of the power of every individual’s story. “Helping people to get better with all the support from Hushabye staff is so rewarding. I love being a part of a team that is so full of love and acceptance for where the mom and the baby are at any given moment,” she reflects.

Thank you, DeDe, for your heart, your presence, and your unwavering love.

We are honored that Catalytic Health Partners will be joining us once again as a Wish Upon a Star Sponsor for our upcoming Twinkle Twinkle Little Star event. Their continued partnership means the world and speaks volumes about their unwavering commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable babies and families in our community.

Hushabye Nursery extends heartfelt thanks to Molina Healthcare for sponsoring our Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Gala. Your partnership shines brightly in helping us embrace substance-exposed babies and their families with compassion and hope. Together, we are creating healthier beginnings and changing lives.

Be Part of Someone's

First Chapter

Every day at Hushabye Nursery, tiny cries fill our rooms—babies born into the world already fighting. But wrapped in our care, they are also wrapped in hope. Behind each crib is a story of a family longing for healing, stability, and love.

You can be part of that story.

  • A monthly gift helps keep a baby safe in our nursery tonight.
  • Sponsoring or attending an event gives parents a chance to rebuild tomorrow.
  • Donating diapers, formula, or a pack of wipes means a mom leaves with dignity and relief.
  • Sharing our mission with a friend might open the door for the next family who needs us.

Every action, big or small, creates ripples that change the course of a child’s life. Together, we can make sure every baby has the chance at a healthy start.

Thank you for believing in them—and in us.
